The approach to the hotel was a bit tricky as the sign was small and hard to spot in the dark. Once inside, I found the hotel to be decent. The King bed, although comfortable, was oddly situated too close to the wall. This made getting in and out a bit inconvenient. The staff didn’t offer much in the way of hospitality. often, they wouldn’t make any eye contact or say hello when I passed by. On a couple of occasions, the front desk was completely unmanned, which was frustrating. I noticed that the bathrooms in the lobby needed attention because they were out of paper towels when I first arrived and throughout my stay. Overall, the cleanliness of the room was good, but the carpet had some stains. The breakfast spread on offer was varied and tasty but ended up quite minimal by my second morning, with limited cookies at the front desk. The Wi-Fi worked great, and I appreciated the convenience of local restaurant recommendations from the staff. I would return, hoping for improved staffing and attention to detail next time.

great service but room needs improvement

The staff, especially Rosie, provided exceptional service, going out of her way to assist when our cable remote wasn't functioning. The overall aesthetics of the hotel were appealing, and the breakfast offered a decent selection for a quick start to the day. Additionally, I appreciated the clean overall environment, which made it feel welcoming during our stay.

However, when we entered our room, it did not meet our expectations in terms of comfort and amenities.

Had a nice time here! The room was super clean and the beds had a ton of pillows. Breakfast was on point with lots of options, even to-go bags! Loved the picnic area outside, nice for relaxing. One thing though, the coffee machine in the room felt a bit outdated.

Check-in was rocky. I called ahead for an early check-in but was met with unfriendly vibes from the front desk upon arrival. The room had visible wear, with worn mattresses and stained carpets, which didn't inspire confidence. No towels were present in the room initially, and I felt uncomfortable approaching staff for help due to their demeanor. The overall atmosphere felt chaotic, especially with running children triggering noise throughout the day and late hours, impacting our ability to enjoy the stay fully. I encountered a slow elevator that sometimes left me waiting longer than expected.

We had a great experience at this hotel! The grounds were immaculate with lovely plants everywhere.

Just a good pick for overnight stay in Benton Harbor with attractive and competitive value for money. The room was spacious with a fridge and microwave which was really convenient for our quick trip. Don’t expect gourmet dining options for breakfast.

I greatly appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and clean, spacious rooms of Country Inn & Suites By Radisson Benton Harbor-St Joseph Mi. The accommodations made it easy for me to navigate around, particularly with the accessible features for older guests.
